Outlandica was born from years of renting bikes in countries we'd never been to — and wishing someone who actually rides had set it up.
We're Cristi and Tudor — two riders from Cluj-Napoca who've spent years chasing roads across continents. Morocco's Atlas passes, Vietnam's Ha Giang loop, the gravel tracks of Sardinia, the fjords of Norway. We've rented bikes in places where the paperwork was sketchy, the GPS was wrong, and the insurance was a mystery.
Every trip taught us the same thing: the best experiences came when someone local actually cared about the ride — not just the rental contract. So we built the company we always wished existed back home.
We ride every route before we recommend it. If we haven't been there ourselves, it's not on our map.
Transparent pricing, clear insurance terms, honest bike condition reports. We run the business we'd want to rent from.
When you call us, you're talking to someone who rides. We'll help you pick the right bike and the right roads for your skill level.
We know which passes close early, where the gravel starts, which guesthouse has the best food, and where to fill up before the mountain.
Adventure rider and Romaniacs finisher. Has rented bikes in more countries than he can count and got tired of the "hand you the keys and hope for the best" approach. Handles operations, fleet, and route curation.
Enduro rider, Romaniacs finisher, and the face behind Krankit — a moto YouTube channel with a growing community of adventure riders. Handles partnerships, content, and the "let's ride there and find out" side of the business.
Most riders dream of the Alps or Patagonia. But Romania has the same empty mountain passes, better food, a fraction of the traffic, and roads that don't show up on mainstream route apps.
The Transfăgărășan gets the headlines, but behind it are hundreds of kilometers of unmarked gravel, shepherd trails, and communist-era forestry roads that only locals know about. That's what we're here to open up.
Cluj-Napoca puts you within two hours of every major pass in the Carpathians. No long transit rides, no wasted days — you're in the mountains from day one.
Pick a bike, pick a route, and we'll handle the rest. Or just reach out — we're happy to help you plan.
